JAMMU, Nov 8: Confederation of SC/ST/OBC organisations here celebrated Students Day at Valmiki Colony, Gandhi Nagar with school children and remembered Dr B.R Ambedkar.
Speaking on the occasion R.K Kalsotra, Confederation President said, on Nov 7, 1900 Dr Ambedkar got admission in Partap Singh High School, Satra in Maharashtra.
He further said that Dr Ambedkar spend a large part of his life as a student and got many degrees.
Kalsotra further said that the poor students must work hard for their progress.
He also distributed note books and stationary material to the students and advised them to follow Ambedkar.
Gharu Bhatti, Bharat Gill, Eklouvya, Kala Ram and Sahinka Gill were also present on the occasion.
