DODA, Apr 10: Goha police busted an illicit liquor manufacturing racket with the arrest of two persons and recovery of 17 litres of lahan and 6 litres of illicit liquor.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Goha Police Post conducted raid in Rekhabanj Muthi area of Marmat and destroyed illicit liquor manufacturing racket and arrested two persons.
Police team also recovered 17 litres of lahan, 6 litres of illicit liquor and utensils to be used for the manufacturing of illicit liquor, which the team destroyed later.
The arrested persons have been identified as Shankar Das, son of Ram Krishan and Jagdish Raj, son of Pathanoo, both residents of Rekhabanj Muthi, Marmat.
A case under FIR Number 71/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Doda Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Goha Police Post SI Firdous Ahmed made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda Iftkhar Ahmed and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
