POONCH, Mar 6: The vehicular traffic on Jammu-Poonch road was disrupted for about six hours today as truck went out of order at the narrow portion of the road in Lasana area of Surankote this morning.
Reports said that a truck carrying goods for POK traders from Jammu went out of order near Dundak temple, in Lasana area at around 4 am. Its both the wheels got separated. The road was narrow at this place. With this the traffic on both the sides came to grinding halt.
All the vehicles on both sides of the roads remained stranded up to 11 am. On both the sides over 1000 vehicles including cars etc got trapped. Surankote police led by SDPO Riaz Tantray with the help of Army recovery van managed to remove the truck from that point. With the clearance of road, the traffic could be restored. However, it took about two hours to clear the traffic jam at this point to the police.
