Srinagar, Sept 30: The Army today said a hideout was busted in a joint operation in north Kashmir’s Handwara area of Kupwara district and cache of arms and ammunition was recovered.
A Defence spokesman said here that based on a specific input, a joint search operation of Army and police was launched today in the forest area near Boban Watsar village of Handwara which resulted in recovery of a huge cache of arms, ammunition and war like stores.
“A concerted search of the area resulted in busting a hideout from where large cache of war like stores including two sniper rifles, one UBGL, one pistol and large quantity of assorted grenades and ammunition was recovered,” the Defence spokesman added.
