Srinagar July 31: Police today said that they have apprehended a bike lifter and recovered a stolen bike on his instance in north Kashmir’s Handwara are of Kupwara district.
A police spokesman said that on July 27, Reyaz Ahmad lodged a complaint with police saying unknown persons stole his bike bearing registration number 310/JK09. “On this information, police registered an FIR under 189/2015 under section 379 RPC and investigation was taken up,” the spokesman said.
He said that today on specific information, the investigating team arrested Ajaz Ahmad Darzi and on his instance, the stolen bike has been recovered. “Further investigation is going on,” the spokesman added.
