JAMMU, July 31: Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj today said that the so called PM’s Return and Rehabilitation Package for Kashmiri Migrants announced long back in April 2008 by the then PM Dr Manmohan Singh, has again exposed the intentions of political parties and their will power for the Nationalist forces of microscopic community of Kashmiri Pandits.
Addressing a press conference, YAIKS president, Pt RK Bhat along with other core group members, said that it is unfortunate that even 10% of the whole package has not been implemented so far. He said that since 2008 no process was made to implement the package which is evident from the fact that only 1700 employees have been appointed till date out of 6000 sanctioned jobs.
He said that no arrangement of safe accommodation is being provided to the left over employees and for those who intend to join their duties in the Valley. He demanded that a separate accommodation be provided to each employee on the pattern of Secretariat employees with proper security arrangements.
YAIKS president also batted for filling remaining 4300 posts with the procedure ‘one family one job’ on war footing. He further said that a High Tech school needs to be established at every Transit camp with basic amenities.
Alleging that the Government is not at all serious for the return of Kashmiri Pandits, he asserted for making a concrete policy for their safe return to Valley.
He served an ultimatum to the Government that if their demands are not addressed within 30 days they will be forced to start direct action programme and to call employees working under PM’s package in different parts of Valley, back to Jammu.
