JAMMU, May 27: Canara Bank Employees Union (CBEU) State Committee Jammu Kashmir here today celebrated the 101st birth anniversary of Tarakeshwar Chakraborty, former general secretary of AIBEA.
In this regard a programme was organised at Red Cross Home for Specially Abled Children in Udheywala.
During programme, the CBEU team provided stationary items, refreshments and other daily use items for the children of the Home.
The function was presided over by Arshid Bashir, Chairman of the Committee. Apart from CBEU leadership, the programme was also attended by some of the top dignitaries of Jammu Province Bank Employees Federation and PNB Officers Association J&K including Federation general secretary, Arun Kumar Gupta, Arruh Bhanu Khajuria, State general secretary PNBOA J&K and Arun Kumar Pandita, Regional Head Canara Bank, Jammu Regional Office. While addressing the students Yogesh Kumar, State secretary of the Federation said such programmes are regularly held by the CBEU State Committee Jammu Kashmir in the past also as part of social responsibility.
The function was also attended by Rahul Gupta, vice chairman, Lucky Jamwal, assistant secretary, Sumit Khajuria, assistant secretary, Jaskaran Singh, treasurer, Kewal Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Kanab Padyar, Shivani Gupta, Yadvendra Singh, Satish Kumar, Zafar Hussain, Stanzin, Rimpy Atri, all State Committee members of CBEU SC J&K.
Vote of thanks was given by Yogesh Kumar, Federation secretary.
The secretary of Children Home expressed gratitude to the leadership of Canara Bank Employees Union State Committee Jammu Kashmir.
