JAMMU, May 1: President Displaced Kashmiri Pandit Front (DKPF), Vinod Pandita today said that the rising unemployment among the displaced youth has caused great disappointment and resentment among the community because no employment package was given after 2008/09. The educated displaced youth are in desperation which is a serious matter needs to be tacked on priority basis without further delay.
In a Press Statement issued today, Pandita appealed Government of India and Lt. Governor, UT of J&K to take a humanitarian view of this grave problem by according a special employment package of at least ten thousand posts for educated displaced youth.
Pandita also stressed for carrying out special recruitment drive in various camps and non camps like it was previously done by absorbing the educated youth on the spot in different departments to tackle the unemployment among this displaced community who has suffered irreparable losses due to forceful migration from Kashmir in 1990 at the hands of Pakistan sponsored terrorism.
Vishal Jotshi, vice president of the Front and Jyoti Dhar also appealed Government to take cognisance of this serious issue.
The others who endorsed and supported the demand were Ashok Kumar Koul, Vinod Bhat, Dazy Dhar, M.K.Koul, Karuna Jotshi, Palvi Sharma, Sanjay Kumar and Suraj Jotshi.
