SRINAGAR, Aug 29: The Government today refused to regularize thousands of Education Volunteers (EVs) who have been engaged in the State.
About 1343 EVs have been engaged in the seasonal centers of the State.
Minister of School Education Department Tara Chand in a written reply to the question of NPP’s Rafi Shah informed the Upper House that most of the EVs are working in Poonch district with 399 candidates, followed by Budgam, 135, and Reasi having 122 EVs working in these centers.
The three districts of Srinagar, Kathua, and Rajouri have not engaged any EV.
