CB seals Finance Company

RAJOURI, Aug 29: Crime Branch of State police today sealed a local Finance Company and started search for the four partners who were absconding.
A senior police official said that a team from Crime Branch Jammu led by DySP Mohd Ibrahim, under the supervision of SSP Crime today sealed the office of Vikrant Finance Company at main market Rajouri. A large number of investors duped by the company had also gathered there during the operation.
The action was taken after some investors approached Crime Branch alleging that their hard earned money worth lakhs was not being paid by the Company promoters/ owners. The SSP formulated a team which started investigation. On the basis preliminary reports a case FIR No. 19/2014 under Sections 406, 420, 120-B RPC was registered at Police Station Crime Branch Jammu against the accused persons. They are said to be absconding. The police has also seized the record of the company for investigation.
The accused were identified by police as- Kewal Koul, son of Amar Nath, resident of Ward No. 7 Rajouri, Rakesh Kumar, son of Surinder Kumar, resident of Ward No. 9 Rajouri, Ashwani Kumar, son of Ved Vayas, resident of Ward No. 7 and Kamal Kumar Gupta, son of Bhagat Ram, resident of Ward No. 12 Rajouri.
The police said that raids were being conducted to trace and arrest the accused and details of their movable and immovable properties is being gathered for initiating further legal action against them.
