JAMMU, Aug 29: Ahead of President Pranab Mukherjee’s visit to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, a high level detailed security review and preparedness meeting was conducted by Garib Dass, DIG Udhampur Reasi Range.
The detailed inspection of various critical security procedures was carried out, as a part of making final security arrangements in view of forthcoming VVIP visit. The security review of all the facilities and features to be utilized during VVIP visit were critically examined on-ground and necessary directions were issued to adopt Special Operative Procedures strictly as per the laid down guidelines in this behalf.
As a part of security review, all existing measures have been Re-strategized and beefed up to ensure complete round the clock domination of the entire area.
Apart from this, the other general guidelines for the area domination exercises by putting strong nakas and check points in and around Katra on all routes, night domination, checking and frisking of visitors, surveillance and real time analysis and sharing of inputs were impressed upon all those associated with making security arrangements.
Among others, SP Reasi Vivek Gupta, Addl SP Katra Kulbir Singh, SDPOs and all SHOs participated in the review meeting.
