1 killed, 4 injured in road accidents

SRINAGAR, July 8: One person was killed while four others were injured in different road accidents.
A police spokesman said a Maruti A-star car JK10/6521 hit and injured a pedestrian Rigzin Dorjay son of Nawang Lundup of Ating Zanaskar at Choglamsar near ITBP Gate in Leh. He later succumbed to his injuries.
An ECCO vehicle JK01Q-1527 hit a scooter JK01H-3531 at Shree Bhat in Zadibal as a result of which the scooterist Syed Shariq Naqash son of Shabir Ahmad of Zoonimar was injured. The injured was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
A load carrier JK01V/7621 turned turtle at Ranga Mood in Sonamarg, Ganderbal resulting in injuries to the driver Ghulam Hassan Ganie. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kangan for treatment.
A motorcycle JK05B/8110 skidded off the road at Kangan in Kangan, Ganderbal, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist Arshid Ahmed Sheikh of Sindhbal, Ganderbal. The injured was shifted to a hospital for treatment.
A Marshal vehicle JK02AB/4204 driven by Bilal Ahmed Baba of Baramulla hit and injured Saima daughter of Abdul Ahad Mir of Nazampora at Kangan. The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital, Kangan for treatment. The spokesman said they have registered cases in these accidents.
