JAMMU, Jan 5: A day long Chintan Shiver was organized by relief holders and over aged youth at Geeta Bhawan Muthi in which the problems of displaced people from Valley in general and over aged youth in particular was discussed.
The meeting devised an agitational programme to seek the redressal of demands hanging in balance for years together.
It, while turning tables on State Government said that Government can’t hoodwink the displaced people any more now as till date it has failed to solve the long pending demands of the community which is leading its 25th year in exile now.
The meeting said that community has lost faith in the Government which failed to come to its expectations and grant internally displaced status to it.
The meeting while terming the claims of the Government on return and rehabilitation only an election gimmick said that when it could not settle the problems of the community at Jammu what guarantee the migrants have that after return to Valley it will listen to the woes of the community.
The meeting among others was addressed by K L Raina, Badri Nath, Mohan Lal Bhat, Moti Lal, Rakesh Bhat.
They said the community was facing total injustice as it has been deprived off RBA certificates and ration was not delivered in time.
