JAMMU, Nov 15: A delegation of Retired Promotee Agriculture Officers (PAOs) met Atal Dulloo, Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) Agriculture Production Department and Farmers Welfare, J&K and apprised him of their long pending demand regarding finalization of seniority list of Agriculture Officers and conducting DPC.
The delegation comprising Raghuvir Singh, Parveen Kumar, Vijay Johar and Biboo Jeet Zutshi told Atal Dulloo that had been rendering service in the Department for Welfare of the Farming Community since 1984 (last 38 years) in different capacities/cadre in own pay and grade but in last two and a half decades, no DPC was conducted by the department which is great injustice and inhumane to the all Graduate Promotee Agriculture Officers.
Dulloo was informed that a committee was constituted recently for settlement of seniority for Agriculture Officers by Agriculture Production and Farmers Welfare Department vide Government Order Number 77-JK (Agriculture) of 2020 dated 01/05/2020 but action is still awaited.
The delegation further told Dulloo that it has now come to their notice that Government is considering to grant of ACP (Assured Carrier Progression) to Direct Recruits only without posting the ACP draft in public domain without finalizing the seniority list, which is further violation of the Gazetted Service Rules.
The members of the delegation requested Dulloo to defer the granting of ACP to Direct Recruits till the DPC and seniority get finalized. They fervently appealed Dulloo to take the matter of DPC on urgent bases and carry forward the process of recently framed committee till logical conclusion is obtained.
