Gear up for forthcoming Assembly polls: Rampaul

JAMMU, Nov 15: Former minister and president, Jammu Kashmir National Conference, Central Zone Jammu, Babu Rampal today discussed prevailing political scenario with District Coordinators of Central Zone (Jammu, Samba, Kathua) and asked them to energetically launch mass outreach programme in their respective areas.
During the meeting, Paul discussed the current political scenario in J&K with the Coordinators and asked them to fully gear up for Assembly elections which can be announced anytime next year. It is important for each and every functionary of party to launch a campaign ahead of the upcoming elections to ensure full public support for the party, he said.
Rampaul said NC is the only party which believes in secularism and can fight for the rights of the downtrodden class of the society. He said that the party has taken many historic decisions in the past for the welfare of the marginalized sections of the society. From Late Sheikh Sahib to Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah, NC has served the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir with utmost honesty and dedication, he added.
He said that National Conference is the party of masses and hence all the office bearers and party workers must join hands together to raise the voice of public and their day to day issues for appropriate redressal.
Dr Vikas Sharma, Coordinator Jammu District Urban, organized the meeting. Bharat Bhushan, Sandesh Shaan, Amrish Sharma, Adv Rajinder Chanyal, Sham Lal Mehra, Arvind Singh Jamwal, Rahul Mahajan, Adv Aslam Choudhary, Sat Paul, Ashok Tyagi and Yash Paul attended the meeting.
