JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Feb 23: Ninety four persons today tested positive for COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir while 62 recovered from the virus.
Twenty two COVID positive cases were reported in the Jammu region, the highest being 10 in Jammu district, eight Udhampur and two each in Kathua and Samba districts. Rest six districts didn’t report any Corona cases today.
As against 22 fresh cases, 25 persons recovered from the virus including 12 in Jammu district, six Udhampur, three Poonch and two each in Rajouri and Samba districts.
Jammu region now has 51891 Corona cases. Among them, 163 are active positive while 51003 have recovered from the virus and there have been 725 fatalities.
Among 725 casualties, the maximum 373 have been reported in Jammu district followed by 64 Doda, 57 Udhampur, 55 Rajouri, 53 Kathua, 40 Samba, 24 Poonch, 22 Kishtwar, 21 Ramban and 16 in Reasi district.
Meanwhile, 72 people today tested positive for COVID-19 in Kashmir.
Those who tested positive include 40 from Srinagar, 8 Baramulla, 4 Budgam, 5 Pulwama, 4 Kupwara, 2 Anantnag, 4 Bandipora, 2 Kulgam and 3 from Shopian.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 74,128 including 72,295 recoveries and 1,230 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 766 including 603 from Kashmir division.
With 62 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 123,298, which is 97.84 percent of the total cases.
Meanwhile, the UT of Ladakh today reported nine Corona positive cases including 8 in Leh and one in Kargil district.
Ladakh, now has 45 active positive cases.
