JAMMU, May 12: As many as 89 civilians today exchanged sides in a weekly Poonch-Rawalakote bus service via Chakkan-Da-Bagh along the Line of Control in Poonch district.
“From this side of the border, two fresh Indian citizens went across while 19 residents of Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) returned to their homes in a weekly ‘Peace Bus’ after they completed their stipulated stay on this side,” an official here said.
He said from PoK side, five Indian citizens returned back and 63 fresh PoK residents reached Poonch.
The gate was opened at 1455 hrs and closed at 1511 hrs. Senior police and administrative officials were present on the spot.
