DODA, June 29: People held protest in Golibagh area after 8 sheep died under mysterious circumstance and several others are in serious condition.
The residents assembled in Golibagh area and held protest. They alleged that there is an illegal dumping yard in their area which always causes inconvenience to them.

“Most of the waste of the city is being thrown at this illegal dumping site which includes expired medicines and other poisonous stuffs by the locals as well as Municipal Committee Doda”, the protesting people said, adding that this is the reason behind death of their cattle. The cattle ate some poisonous substance at this illegal dumping site and died, they added.
They alleged that several times the concerned authorities were informed to lift the garbage from this illegal dumping site, but no action has been taken so far.
Meanwhile, Tehsildar Doda along with DySP Headquarter and SHO Doda rushed to the spot and assured the protestors that legal action would be taken against the erring persons.
On the assurance, the protestors dispersed.
The protestors also demanded adequate compensation against the losses.
