78 bovines rescued

RAMBAN, Sept 18: Khari and Banihal police rescued 78 bovine animals and arrested three persons.
As per police sources, police party from Khari police post laid a naka at Mangit and intercepted a person carrying flock of bovines.
During questioning, the man failed to give satisfactory reply and was arrested by the police. From their possession, police rescued 8 bovine animals.
The accused has been identified as Sakhi Mohammad, son of Abdul Rashid of Dharam.
Meanwhile, police team from Ukhral police post laid a naka at Sarvadhar area and intercepted two persons carrying bovines.
During sustained questioning, the persons admitted that they were taking the bovines to Valley.
Police rescued 70 bovine animals and arrested both the persons, who have been identified as Kifayat Ali, son of Gulam Rasool of Gurmul, Doda and Rayees Ahmed, son of Mohammad Iqbal of Kapran.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at Banihal and Ramsoo police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Police Post Khari SI Habib Pathan and Incharge Police Post Ukhral PSI Rohit Bhagat made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Mohammad Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
