7 injured as Scorpio car rolls down

UDHAMPUR, June 27: Seven persons were injured when a Scorpio car, in which they were traveling, rolled down into deep gorge at Kasar Morh near Kud on the National Highway, here today.
The Scorpio car, bearing registration number JK05D-2000, was on its way from Kashmir to Jammu when driver lost control over the vehicle resulting into the accident. Police and locals rushed to the spot and took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur.
The injured were identified as car driver Bilal Ahmed (22) son of Mohmed Shabir of Baramulla, Dilshad (25) son of Nisar Ahmad of Jalalabad (UP), Mohd Ashim (50) son of Abdul Riaz of Jalalabad (UP), Anita Devi (36) wife of Raj Kumar of Ward number 10 in R S Pura Jammu, her 9 year old son Shai Bhagat, Mohd Shabad, son of Mohd Shakir of Muradhabad, Mohd Hanif (38) son of Gulam Nabi of Kud.
Meanwhile, a makeshift kiosk was gutted in fire in Gole Market adjoining Dabbar Park, here today. Before the Fire Brigade could reach the site and control the blazes, the kiosk was reduced to ashes though no one was injured in the mishap, which apparently occurred due to short circuit of electricity.
