7 hurt as Eeco car falls into gorge

RAJOURI, June 10: Seven persons were injured when a car rolled down into a gorge in Keri area od Doongi block in disrtrict Rajour this evening.
Official sources said that incident took place at around 5 pm on Saturday evening, when an Eeco car with passengers was on way to Nagun village near the Line of Control, in Keri area of Doongi in Rajouri district. The car fell into a nearly 30 feet deep gorge after the driver lost control at a sharp turn, causing injuries to 7 passengers.
The injured were shifted to GMC Rajouri for treatment. Medical Superintendent Dr Mehmood Ahmed said that seven injured were brought in the emergency ward of Associated Hospital of GMC Rajouri.
The injured were identified as Farida Kausar, wife of Munir Hussain; Jamshad Ahmed, son of Alam Din; Salima Kausar, daughter of Abdul Hameed, Mohammad Asif, son of Mohd Razak; Mohd Hussain, son of Fazal Hussain; Shamim Akhtar, wife of Mohd Hussain and Abida Kausar daughter of Mohammad Razak, all residents of Mahri Manyala.
