UDHAMPUR, July 6 : Police today seized 650 litres of CAPD kerosene oil meant for public distribution and arrested black marketer involved in misappropriation of oil.
Police spokesman said that, on a tip off, police party from Kud Police Station conducted a raid in the shop of one Mohd Arshad Malik, son of Mareed Hussain of Chaksoo Teli Bari, tehsil Chenani and recovered 650 litres of CAPD kerosene oil, meant for public distribution.
He said owner of the shop managed to flee from the spot while his servant namely Rakesh Kumar, son of Dev Raj of Marmat, tehsil and district Doda was arrested.
A case under FIR No 63/ 12 stands registered at Police Station Kud and investigation started.
