JAMMU, Nov 20: City Police arrested six Kashmiri gamblers from a hotel and recovered Rs 60240 stake money from their possession, here today.
Acting on a specific information, a Police team of PS City, headed by SHO Mohinder Singh, raided a prominent hotel on Residency Road Jammu and caught six gamblers red handed.
Rs 60240 stake money was also recovered from the possession of these gamblers, identified as Javaid Ahmed of Doura, Hazratbal Srinagar, Khalid of Hazratbal Srinagar, Farooq Ahmed of Tankipur Srinagar, Hilal Ahmed of Tankipur Srinagar, Ayaz Ahmed Mir of Nowshera Srinagar and Feroz Ahmed of Rambag Srinagar.
In this connection, a case under Section 13 of Gambling Act has been registered at PS City.
