6 FIRs lodged, 24 arrested for violating SOPs

Srinagar, June 6: In the last 24 hours, Police have arrested 24 persons, lodged 6 FIRs and also realized a fine to the tune of Rs 2,40,470/- from 2105 people throughout the Kashmir valley for violating the SOPs regarding Covid-19.
Police said that it has enhanced its efforts to sensitise the masses about controlling the highly contagious Coronavirus.
The special drive against the violators of Covid-19 guidelines/rules continued throughout all the districts of Kashmir Valley to ensure that people adhere to SOPs/guidelines envisaged by the Government to curb the COVID-19 pandemic.
Police said that the community members are once again requested to cooperate with the Police in containing the spread of Coronavirus by following the SOPs/ guidelines/protocols for their safety and the safety of others.
“The special drive shall continue throughout the districts of Kashmir Valley to strengthen the safety measures,” it said.
