KATHUA, May 22: Basantpur and Nagri police rescued six bovine animals and arrested two persons, a police official said.
The arrested persons have been identified as Pawan Kumar, son of Sharam Chand of Dhrabal Tehsil Bani District Kathua and Younis Massi, son of Khursheed Massi of Gurdaspur Punjab.
Police also seized two vehicles in which these bovine animals were being smuggled.
Basantpur and Nagri police have taken cognizance in this regards.
