5 drug peddlers arrested with heroin, poppy straw

JAMMU, Dec 11: Batote Police arrested five drug peddlers and recovered heroin and poppy straw from their possession.
As per police sources, during routine checking at Nashri, a team from Police Station Batote intercepted Alto car bearing registration number JK06-8086.
During checking, police team recovered 10 grams heroin from the possession of three persons travelling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Vikas Ahmed, son of Ashfaq Ahmed, Amzad Ali, son of Mubarak Ali and Muzamil Ahmed, son of Mujahid, all residents of Sadiqabad District Doda.
A case FIR Number 128/2021 under Section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Batote and investigation started.
Police team led by PSI Shiv Dutt Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Batote Inspector Ajeet Singh and DySP Headquarters Pardeep Singh Sen.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Batote during checking at Nashri intercepted a Maruti Ritz car bearing registration number DL8CAW-7325.
During checking, police team recovered around 15 kilograms of poppy straw from the vehicle and arrested two persons, who were identified as Shamsher Singh, son of Inderjit Singh of village Kot Mohd Khan, Nasirewala, Moga Punjab and Milka Singh, son of Khushal Singh of Kuanderi, Gobindpura, Shutrana, Patiala Punjab.
A case FIR Number 129/2021 under Section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Batote and investigation set into motion.
