JAMMU, Apr 19: Kanachack police foiled a bovines smuggling bid with the arrest of two persons and rescuing 43 cattle from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Kanachack police station during patrolling intercepted two persons carrying flock of bovine animals.
During questioning, the persons failed to give satisfactory reply and police arrested them for smuggling bovine animals.
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Shafi, son of Bilu of Kalyanpur and Talab Hussain, son of Mossa of Lalyal.
A case under FIR Number 36/16 under Section 188 RPC has been registered against them at Kanachack police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Kanachack police station Rakesh Singh foiled the bovines smuggling bid under the supervision of SDPO Domana SK Sharma and Additional SP Rural Arun Gupta.
