JAMMU, Aug 28: Jourian police arrested four persons along with 400 duplicate cement bags.
According to SP Rural Dushyant Sharma, a complaint was lodged by Area Manager ACC Cement Limited with Police Post Jourian stating that a truck bearing registration number JK08DS-4271 has been loaded with duplicate ACC cement bags.
“The persons are selling duplicate ACC cement in the Jourian area”, the complainant added.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 175/18 under Section 420 RPC was registered at Akhnoor Police Station and investigation started, SP said, adding that a team from Jourian Police Post seized 400 bags of ACC cement from the said truck and arrested the driver and three labourers.
The consignment was dispatched by Proprietor of Choudhary Enterprises, Ward Number 11, District Kathua Mohammad Sadique, SP Dushyant Sharma informed.
The arrested persons have been identified as Meer Mohammad (driver), son of Shafi Mohammad, Taz Din, son of Naman Din, Lal Din, son of Gulab Din and Teg Din, son of Reham Ali, all residents of District Kathua.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Jourian Police Post SI Anil Choudhary made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Akhnoor Inspector Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal, SDPO Akhnoor Munish Anand, SP Rural Dushyant Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
