JAMMU, Aug 28: A delegation of All J&K POJK 1947 Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum under the leadership of its president, Advocate, Amrik Singh met Provincial Rehabilitation Officer (PRO) Jammu in connection with the difficulties and problems being faced by them while completing their documents to receive the ex-gratia grant of Rs 5.50 lakh sanctioned by Government of India in their favour.
The delegation discussed the complaints of every individual with PRO and urged him to get minimize documentation and those documents be only sought whose legal requirement is necessary. The widows and aged persons be given priority while finalizing their cases, it added.
Beside, the agent system and land mafia black mailer be checked so that they may not be able to black mail the innocent illiterate refugees. The PRO sorted out some problems on the spot and assured the delegation that the other problems will also be settled at an earliest.
He asked them in case of any complaint about any member of staff in his office they can approach him at any time.
The deputation was comprising of Surjit Singh, general secretary, Ramnik Singh, Fateh Singh, Raja Singh all DGPC members, Paramjit Singh, ex Corporator, Jarnail Singh Khalsa, general secretary, DGPC, Samba and Kuldeep Singh, S Bhupinder Singh, Paramjit Singh Shingari, Waryam Singh and Jagjeet Singh.
