POONCH, Dec 1: At least 38 Government employees were found unauthorisedly absent from duty during surprise checking by the Deputy Commissioner Poonch in Mandi area today.
Official sources said Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet on Wednesday inspected many Government offices in Tehsil Mandi and found 38 employees of different departments absent from their duties and later asked them to explain their position as why action under rules should not be taken against them.
These 38 employees belong to Tehsil office, ZEO, BDO, CDPO, Agriculture, Horticulture, PDD, PWD, TSO offices and the Boys HSS School, Mandi.
Deputy Commissioner, when contacted said that he has received many complaints regarding the non- availability of staff in different offices of Mandi following which he decided to pay surprise visit to see ground situation.
