JAMMU, Mar 20: CJM Jammu Ashwani Sharma today awarded three years rigorous imprisonment and fine of Rs 1000 to a Matador driver namely Murad Ali for the commission of offence under Section 304-A of the RPC and imprisonment for one month for the commission of offence under Section 279 of the RPC.
According to the police case, on January 30, 2005, a Matadoor bearing Registration No. JK02E-0957 which was being driven rashly and negligently by Murad Ali hit a girl standing by the side of the road leading to her death.
Accordingly, a case was registered at Police Post Chinore and after completion of investigation challan was presented in the court of law.
