JAMMU, Dec 8: Security forces today detained three terror suspects along with unaccounted cash at Mahore in Reasi district while police seized pistol and ammunition in Nowshera tehsil of Rajouri district.

Officials said security forces intercepted a Tavera vehicle bearing registration number 8943 JK02AX at Mahore and arrested three suspects travelling in the vehicle along with Rs 50,000 worth unaccounted cash.
The cash was hidden under the seat of driver.
Two detained have been identified as Mir Ahmed of Bathoie, Mahore, driver of the vehicle and Farooq Ahmed, 38, son of Mushtaq Ahmed of Dewal, Mahore. Identity of the third person is being ascertained.
One of the arrested person was stated to be husband of a Sarpanch.
They are being questioned to ascertain sources of the cash.
Meanwhile, an official statement issued by the police said during sustained questioning at naka point, the trio were unable to give satisfactory reply with respect to cash. Later, Army called Mahore police on the spot.
During further inquiry by the police officials of Mahore till time, no terror angle was established, the statement said.
However, it added, a detailed inquiry is still underway.
Meanwhile, a joint team of police, Army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today recovered one pistol and ammunition from village Patrari in Rajalkote area of Nowshera tehsil in Rajouri district.
Recoveries were made during a joint search operation.
The consignment had to be picked up by associates of the militants but security personnel seized it before it could land into the hands of anti-national elements.
Searches are going on in the area to ensure that there was no presence of the militants. However, no arrests have been made so far.
