3 school dropouts nabbed with stolen items

LEH, Nov 18: District police arrested three school dropouts students with stolen items worth Rs 2.5 lakh.
Addressing a press conference, SSP Leh Uday Bhaskar Billa said that during patrolling, three school dropout students were arrested from Ford Figo car near Himank office at Choglamsar.
From the possession of the accused, police recovered stolen goods includes two Samsung LED, laptops, gold chains, mobile phone, gas, cylinders, utensils, oil, butter, soap, blankets worth Rs 2.5 lakh, he added.
The arrested youths hailing from different villages were staying in rented accommodation for the past one month.
The Ford Figo car has also been seized by the police, he said, adding that a case under FIR Number 87/16 under Section 457 and 380 RPC has been registered against the accused at police post Choglamsar.
SSP stated that these youth after proper examination of a place targets abandon houses to steel whatever they could and most of the stolen items were found to be kitchen accessories. He added that these youth belongs to reputed families with no past criminal records.
SHO Inspector Stanzin Dorjay, Incharge Choglamsar police post SI Rigzen Gurmet and Incharge Colony police post SI Meeraj Giri were also present during the press conference.
