3 injured in grenade attack

Srinagar, Sept 14: Three persons were injured in a grenade explosion at Rajpora Chowk in southern district of Pulwama today.

Militants hurled a grenade towards a police vehicle near Shaheed Park in Rajpora area of Pulwama today that missed the intended target and exploded on the road.
“Three pedestrians were injured in the attack, who were rushed to hospital for treatment,” an official said. He said that the injured were identified as Jitendar Kumar son of Mahesh Kumar, a resident of Bihar, who received right arm injury while as Azhar Khurshid son of Khurshid Ahmad resident of Dalipora, Pulwama was injured in his thigh and head and were brought to district hospital Pulwama where their condition is stable. The third injured, as per eye-witnesses, received minor injuries and was treated locally.
