SRINAGAR, May 6: Police arrested three persons in Karan Nagar area here and recovered counterfeit US dollars from them. A Police spokesman said that a police party of Karan Nagar police station observed movement of three suspects at Karan Nagar Chowk. The three persons were intercepted and searched during which counterfeit 6,924 US dollars were recovered from them. They have been identified as Mohammad Yousuf son of Abdul Rehim resident of Handwara, Manzoor Ahmad Lone son of Mohammad Maqbool, resident of Check Sadool Handwara and Showket Hussain Chowdary son of Raham Ali, resident of Groon Bagh Rajouri. A case FIR number 27/2015 under Sections 420, 489-B and 489-CrPC has been registered against them and investigation taken up.
