JAMMU, July 28: Three civilians including mother-son duo were injured in heavy mortar shelling and firing by Pakistan army on the Line of Control (LoC) in Shahpur and Sabjian sectors in Poonch district, targeting forward posts and civilian locations this afternoon.
Several mortar shells fell close to the houses in Shahpur sector, reports said.
They added that three civilians were injured in the shelling. They have been identified as 12 days unnamed child son of Mohammad Qasim and his 30-year old mother Fatima wife of Mohammad Qasim and Mohammad Arif Rathore, 35, son of Mohammad Sayeed Rathore, all resident of Shahpur.

They were evacuated to the District Hospital Poonch from where they were referred to the Government Medical College, Jammu after first-aid.
The Indian Army retaliated shelling and firing befittingly at all places in Shahpur and Sabjian sectors, where ceasefire violations by Pakistan took place at 5 pm and continued for about four hours.
Pakistan has repeatedly been violating the ceasefire on LoC in twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch.
