JAMMU, July 28: Quality roads are the lifelines of a civilized society.
This was stated by Ranbir Singh Pathania, State Spokesperson BJP, while addressing public meetings at Barshoa (Katheel Ganjoo), Sagora, Bhugtriyan, Hansa, Panjgrain and Badhole areas during the course of membership drive.
Pathania further said that work on Ramnagar-Badhole, Ghordi-Dalsar Khaas, Ghordi-Katwalat, Chowki-Masall and Dalsar-Khajuria Mohalla roads worth Rs 50 crores sanctioned during his tenure will be taken up very soon for making traveling comfortable.
He also announced sanctioning of PMGSY upgradation road projects from Tapari (Bhughtrain), Barta (Chanunta) to Hansa bridge via Panjgrain, Khaila, Majalta to Jansal via Kathil and Dessian to SK Ber worth Rs 45 crores.
Pathania reiterated his resolve for providing metalled road connectivity to each and every habitation of Ramnagar constituency. “Within a short stint, blacktopping work on so many roads has been done and they stand dedicated to the public, while work on left over roads for blacktopping is underway and is in final stage of completion”, he added.
He further said that during his short stint as elected representative of Ramnagar, he has dedicated various metalled roads to the public. He said that macadamization works are either underway or have been completed on Marta-Dheeran, Kulwanta-Jophar, Bari-Ladana, Block boundary Katwalt, Kaghote-Lehri Shumb, Plassan-Bainsta and other roads.
He further said that work on macadamization/carving out of fresh roads sanctioned during his tenure as a legislator will be started in the near future.
Pathania asked the officials of the PWD and PMGSY to gear up men and machinery to make all the roads functional during this rainy season as many complaints of hampered road connectivity are pouring in from across the constituency.
