3 bovines rescued, three arrested

JAMMU, Apr 2: Manwal and RS Pura police rescued three bovine animals and arrested three persons.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Manwal police post laid a naka and intercepted a Mahindra vehicle bearing registration number JK14C-5946.
During checking, police rescued 2 bovine animals and arrested a person, who has been identified as Liaqat Ali, son of Ayub Khan, a resident of district Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 42/16 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Jhajjar Kotli police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Manwal police post SI Tribhuwan Khajuria made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Ravinder Singh, SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma and Additional SP Rural Arun Gupta.
Meanwhile, RS Pura police rescued one bovine animal and seized a Mahindra vehicle bearing registration number JK02AJ-7254.
Two persons were arrested for smuggling cattle, who have been identified as Bawa Ram, son of Bhajan Lal, a resident of Chandu Chak and Katha Ram, son of Mela Ram, a resident of Badyal Qazi.
A case under FIR Number 50/16 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at RS Pura police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Harish Damaya made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh and SP Headquarters RC Kotwal.
