DODA, May 26: Dessa police arrested three persons for smuggling bovines and rescued 20 cattle from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Dessa police station laid a naka at Talai Dhar and arrested three persons along with 20 bovine animals, which they were trying to smuggle to Valley.
The arrested persons have been identified as Rayaz Ahmed Tantray and Bashir Ahmed Mir, both residents of Kapran Verinag and Mohammad Farooq of Kastigarh.
A case under FIR Number 4/17 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at police station Dessa and investigation started.
Police team led by ASI Ahmedullah Shan made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Doda Iftkhar Ahmed and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
