REASI, May 19: Police today rescued 27 bovine animals and arrested the smuggler in Mahore area of Reasi district.
Acting on specific information that some persons along with bovine animals were on way from Chana Shikari towards Kashmir via Nikkin Gali and had reached near village Shibrass, a Police team, led by ASI Abdul Rashid, I/C PP Dewal, rushed to the spot and rescued 27 bovine animals from the possession of the accused person.
The accused person, identified as Bagh Hussain of Shikari, tehsil Mahore, was arrested on the spot and a case under Section 188 RPC has been registered against him.
