24 students injured in mishap

Srinagar, May 3: Twenty four girl students were injured after a school excursion bus met with an accident in Siligam area of Ashmuqam in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district this evening.
A school excursion bus bearing registration Number JK03-2711 of Government High School Dudhkul Kokernag, that was carrying students and staff of the school for a picnic skidded off the road near Siligam in Ashmuqam.
The accident occurred when they were returning home. Twenty-four students were injured and were taken to Sub-District Hospital Seer for treatment.
Meanwhile, Governor Satya Pal Malik has directed the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan to ensure free of cost medical treatment to all the girl students who were injured in the accident.
The Divisional Commissioner was directed to ensure all the girl students injured in the accident get timely and free of cost treatment at the hospital they have been admitted.
