UDHAMPUR, May 14: The 24 JKAP IR Battalion of the Indian Reserve Police (IRP), Udhampur, conducted a disciplined and well-coordinated Route March today under the leadership of Commandant, Sandeep Mehta, along with Dy Co Nihar Ranjan.
The march commenced from the battalion headquarters Sui and covered the designated route through Chaked, Lansi, Dabrimood, Gujjar Morh, and culminated at Pandav Mandir, Krimchi, Udhampur after travelling about 7 Kms on foot. Around 150 officers/officials of the battalion participated in the exercise.
The primary objective of the Route March was to demonstrate the preparedness and strength of the police force in maintaining law and order while promoting physical fitness, discipline, endurance, and teamwork among personnel. The exercise also served as an important initiative to strengthen bonding and coordination within the unit and encourage collective participation and esprit de corps among officers and jawans.
Speaking on the occasion, Commandant Sandeep Mehta emphasized the significance of regular field exercises and unit activities in enhancing operational efficiency, morale, and public confidence. He further stated that the Battalion plans to organize more such events in the near future to continue encouraging fitness, discipline, unity, and stronger coordination among personnel.
The Route March passed peacefully through various populated and roadside stretches, with necessary security and traffic arrangements ensuring smooth movement throughout the event.
