JAMMU, Jan 22: The decks for the promotion to the next rank of 210 Jammu and Kashmir Armed Police personnel including 18 ASIs and 42 HCs have been cleared during Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting.
The DPC comprising Mir Mohammad Choudhary, SSP, Commanding Officer (CO), IRP 14th Battalion, Tahir Sajad Bhat, SSP AIG (P) Police Headquarters J&K, Shiv Kumar, SSP, Commanding Officer (CO), IRP 12th Battalion and Mohammad Hussain, AAO, Armed Police Headquarters (APHQ) J&K under the chairmanship of Mukesh Singh IGP Armed (Headquarters) J&K met at Armed Police Headquarters (APHQ) J&K and cleared promotions of the 18 ASIs to the rank of SIs, 42 HCs to the rank of ASIs besides in-situ promotions to 150 constables of J&K Armed Police.
IGP Armed (Headquarters) J&K expressed hope that the promotees will continue to work with the same devotion and dedication.
The ASIs promoted as SIs are Praduman Krishen IRP 9th Battalion, Manzoor Ahmad JKAP 7th Battalion, Abdul Rashid JKAP 4th Battalion, Abdul Rashid JKAP 7th Battalion, Ghulam Hussain JKAP 9th Battalion, Abdul Hamid IRP 1st Battalion, Ghulam Hassan JKAP 6th Battalion, Mehraj-u-Din JKAP 3rd Battalion, Ghulam Mohammad JKAP 5th Battalion, Abdul Rashid IRP 13th Battalion, Mohan Lal IRP 15th Battalion, Mohammad Akram JKAP 9th Battalion, Mohammad Ismail NHPC Kargil Battalion, Mohammad Zaffer IRP 19th Battalion, Tilak Raj PTTI Vijaypur Battalion and Rattan Chand IRP 7th Battalion.
The HCs promoted as ASIs are Subash Chander PTS Kathua, Mohammad Akbar IRP 1st Battalion, Jogdesh Dutt IRP 17th Battalion, Sat Paul IRP 19th Battalion, Habibullah JKAP 9th Battalion, Altaf Hussain IRP 12th Battalion, Abdul Hafiz IRP 2nd Battalion, Gandeep Singh IRP 3rd Battalion, Tarseem Lal IRP 18th Battalion, Babu Ram 35/SKPAU, Parshotam Singh PTS Kathua, Ghulam Nabi PTS Manigam, Janamajai Singh PTS Kathua, Gulzar Ahmad IRP 17th Battalion, Mohammad Younis 216/JKAP 3rd Battalion, Ishar Singh 38/IRP 1st Battalion, Mohammad Ashraf 57/IRP 20th Battalion, Abdul Rashid 304/IRP 20th Battalion, Madan Singh 213/IRP 14th Battalion, Joginder Kumar 49/IRP 7th Battalion, Ved Parkash 33/JKAP 13th Battalion, Kameshwar Dass 02/SKPAU, Mohammad Maqsood 443/JKAP 8th Battalion RBA, Omkar Singh 77/IRP 4th Battalion, Nazir Ahmad 46/JKAP 11th Battalion, Abdul Rashid 180/IRP 6th Battalion, Shafiq Ahmad 01/IRP 10th Battalion, Mangat Ram 154/IRP 4th Battalion, Abdul Aziz 503/JKAP 13th Battalion, Prem Sagar 139/IRP 15th Battalion, Sukhdev Raj 27/IRP 8th Battalion and Karnail Singh Sec. The names of ASIs and HCs who have been promoted to the next higher rank subject to PPC have not been included in the aforesaid list.
