JAMMU, Nov 5: Amid chanting of vedic mantras, Sanskrit preachers released Dr Chander Mouli Raina’s Shri Raghvendra Panchang at Shri Ranbir Sanskrit Sansthan Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
Prof K B Subburaidu, Principal, Shri Raghunathkirti Parisar, Devparyag, Uttarakhand, who was the chief guest on the occasion, released 20th edition of the Panchang along with other guests and Sanskrit preachers.
The Panchang of Shri Raghvendra Jyotish Sansthan Trust has been written by former member of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board and Sanskrit Professor Dr Chander Mouli Raina. It carries information about religious and local festivals of Jammu region for 2020-21.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Chander Mouli Raina disclosed that Shri Raghvendra Panchang carries lot of information and in-depth knowledge of national and local festivals, religious rituals and way of daily poojan programmes. Prof Subburaidu emphasized to make people aware about Sanskrit and local culture.
Other Sanskrit preachers Prof Pritam Chand Shastri, Prof Vasudev Sharma, Prof Hansdhar, Pandit Shiv Raina, Pandit Ravinder Raina, Rampal Seth (president, Grameen Civil Society), Sunil Dutt Raka (general secretary, BJP Kissan Morcha), Dr Varun Padha and Sahil Seth were present on the occasion.
