Srinagar May 9: Shopian police today arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 37Kgs of poppy straw from them.
Police said that on a tip off, a police party of Police Station Zainpora established a Naka at Reban crossing. “During the checking, police party intercepted an Alto 800 car. Upon its checking 37 Kgs of poppy straw was recovered. Two peddlers boarding the car were taken into custody. The arrested peddlers were identified as Fayaz Ahamd Sheikh and Farooq Ahamd Sheikh”, police said.
Shopian police has registered a case FIR number 25/2015 under Section 8/22 NDPS Act and investigatinn was taken up.
