UDHAMPUR, Jan 22: Udhampur Police today arrested two narcotic smugglers at Khoon Majalta and seized a small quantity of heroin from their possession.
According to SSP Udhampur, Rajiv Pandey, a Police party led by SHO Majalta, Insp Vijay Thakur , under the supervision of SDPO Ramnagar Garu Ram and Rajinder Singh Katoch, Addl SP Udhampur, laid a naka near Balpur, Khoon, Majalta and intercepted the accused, identified as Davinder Kumar of Ramkot and Sadeeq of Sundla Nakki, Khoon.
Eight grams of heroin was recovered from their possession. Police arrested both the accused on the spot and seized the recovered heroin.
In this connection, a case FIR number 11/2020, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Majalta for further investigation.
