KATHUA Apr 17 : Two youth, riding a motorcycle, were electrocuted today when they came in contact with a high tension wire during a trip to Jasrota Fort in Kathua district, police said. Suresh Sharma (27) and Aditya Naqsh Sharma (26), hailing from Samba district, visited Kali Mata temple and were on way to the nearby fort when the 11 KV electricity line got snapped and fell on them, a police official said.
The duo was on Bullet motorcycle bearing Registration Number, JK21F-0417. Their dead bodies have been shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Kathua for post mortem. The local people have also expressed their grave resentment against the Power Development Department authorities for their carelessness saying had the officials of the Department been duty bound the tragedy should have been averted.
The people also demanded action against the defaulters for the dereliction of duty by them.
