DODA, Nov 13: Two persons including 8 year old girl died after front portion of a roof of an under construction house collapsed in Nowtas village of Thathri tehsil.
As per the locals, some people had assembled on the roof top of the under construction house to witness Chief Minister Omar Abdullah plane flying over Thatri. Suddenly, roof over veranda of the building got collapsed resulted into death of two persons.
The deceased have been identified as 23 year old labourer Mohammad Sadiq, son of Noor Din and 9-year old Tanya Banoo, daughter of Shah Din, both the residents of Thathri. The dead bodies were handed over to family members for last rites after all legal formalities.
On getting information about the incident, MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, who was in the area in connection with Chief Minister’s visit, rushed to the spot to take cognizance of the incident. He urged the Government to pay compensation to the family members of deceased.
