RAJOURI, July 21: Two persons including driver were injured in a road accident at Thannamandi in district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that after brake failure, Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK-5B/ 1599 loaded with vegetables went out of control in Thannamandi market this afternoon. The driver tried to save the people and later he found private school vehicle coming from opposite direction. In an attempt to save children, his vehicle rolled down the road and fell on the Army fencing near old fort. The vehicle had come from Sopore in Kashmir with vegetables to sell in the local market here.
Two injured persons were indentified as driver Mohd Altaf (24) and vegetable trader, Fayaz Ahmed, both hailing from Sopore, Kashmir. They were rushed to local Thannamandi hospital and then referred Rajouri hospital.
