RAJOURI, Dec 27: Taking a strong note on attempt of some people to breach security and to create ruckus and chaos by instigating people during recent public outreach programme of Chief Minister in Rajouri, the authorities have placed two employees under suspension while investigation has been started into the role of others.
Action has been initiated by the authorities after examining the video wherein a group of around 20 persons were seen as attempting to breach security and create ruckus in the waiting area of public outreach programme venue.
During investigation, it was found that one Rashid Iqbal, son of Mohd Iqbal, resident of Gurdan, apparently leading the sloganeering and has been identified as a ration dealer of FCS&CA Department at Gurdan and has been placed under suspension after his role came under scanner and also following complaints of misappropriation of ration which is also under investigation.
Another Government employee namely Junaid Choudhary, helper in Department of Irrigation & Flood Control, who was seen on camera shouting slogans at the venue, has also been placed under suspension.
Meanwhile, police has started investigation into the matter and stringent action in the matter is likely to follow. More than a dozen people identified in the video indulging in breach of security and attempting to create ruckus are being called for questioning as the investigation proceeds.
Prominent seen in the video creating chaos include Reyaz Ahmed, Dr. Sharief Chouhan, SA Shawl, Javed Mirza, Rashid Iqbal, Junaid Choudhary, Jalal Din shopkeeper, Haji Razaq Ahmed and Rafiq Ahmed among others.
Pertinent here to mention that these men made an attempt to create ruckus on the second security checking gate in the CM programme in Rajouri Dak Bungalow on December 23. At the time of chaos, more than three thousand people were present there and instigation on their part could have led to serious law and order problem including stampede that could have posed serious threat for human lives.
Meanwhile, Ration depot operated by the accused Rashid Iqbal has been sealed and material record indicating misappropriation and over-pricing has also been sealed.
